The Brandon Area Community Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2026 Thomas Sill Manitoba Fund Grant Program will open for applications on Monday, February 2.
This year’s intake will support standalone, practical community projects, with grants available up to $5,000.
Registered charities located in Brandon or within our Western Manitoba granting regionare encouraged to prepare their submissions ahead of the opening date.
Key Dates
- Grant portal opens: Monday, February 2
- Grant portal closes: Monday, February 23
- Funding decisions are expected to be announced in March

The Thomas Sill Foundation, established in 1987 through the last will of Thomas Sill—a Manitoba resident and chartered accountant—concluded its operations at the end of 2023. Its legacy funds are now stewarded by The Winnipeg Foundation and Endow Manitoba, who continue to direct Thomas Sill Manitoba Fund support to Community Foundations across the province.
