The Brandon Area Community Foundation (BACF) proudly marks 60 years of service and philanthropy since its establishment on May 11, 1965. Over the decades, BACF has grown into a key pillar of the community, supporting initiatives that enhance education, healthcare, arts, and social services across Brandon and Southwestern Manitoba.
Speaking at the Legislative Building, Wayne Balcaen, MLA for Brandon West, acknowledged the foundation’s remarkable growth. From its beginnings with a $25,000 donation from Gwen and Joseph Secter, BACF now stewards an impressive $26 million in funds—helping to drive positive change and sustainable growth in the region.
As BACF celebrates this milestone, we remain committed to strengthening our community, fostering new partnerships, and building a brighter future through philanthropy.
